House Roll Call on
2010 Senate Bill 572: Propose state budget for 2011

Motion by Rep. Kasha Kelley R- on May 7, 2010
To transfer $1.7 million from the Oil and Natural Gas Valuation Depletion Fund into the State General Fund; and, to require as a condition for receiving aid from a variety of state welfare programs that the recipients agree to a program of random drug screening so that anyone testing positive for illegal substances would undergo an evaluation and an educational or treatment program that is recommended by the evaluation. State legislators would also become subject to random drug tests. Failure to complete the treatment program, or repeated positive testing for illegal drugs, would terminate the person's state cash assistance.
The motion failed 50 to 67 in the House on May 7, 2010.
