2010 Senate Bill 572: Propose state budget for 2011

Motion by Rep. S. Mike Kiegerl R- on May 7, 2010
To add $2.3 million funding for medical services, $1.5 million for community-based services, and $2.4 million for mental health and retardation services provided by the Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services; to restore $12.5 million that was previously cut in funding for the current 2010 budget year from the Kansas Health Policy Authority; to restore $626,505 that was previously cut for the current 2010 budget year from the Juvenile Justice Authority; to restore $861,550 in current year budget that was previously cut from the Department on Aging; and, to increase funding for the current year budget of the Department on Aging by $2.6 million for long term care medical assistance.
The motion failed 44 to 77 in the House on May 7, 2010.
