2010 Senate Bill 571: Fees for livestock inspection

In his role as a committee chair, to increase from the current $40 to $250 the annual renewal market license fee paid by livestock market operator and set by the Kansas animal health board. The bill also calls for an increase in the maximum annual fees paid by cattle feedlot operators. The fee when feedlot capacity is between 1,000 to 2,999 head would increase from $150 to $350, from 3.000 to 5,999 head from $300 to $650, from 10,000 to 17,999 head from $450 to $1,100, increasing to $2,000 for feedlots with capacity in excess of 100,000 head. Finally, the bill establishes feedlot operator fees for swine, sheep and goat feedlots.   Official Text and Analysis.
